Commissions are open! Read more here.
Hello there! I’m Vicky. I’m a junior in college and I love illustration, comics, and bookish things!
I primarily open commissions for full scene illustrations & other digital illustration projects.
I also love telling stories through sequential art. I’m currently working on my lower-YA graphic novel, Junonia and other smaller personal comics projects. In 2020, I was one of ten We Need Diverse Books Walter Grant Winners, a grant for promising unpublished writers and illustrators from diverse communities.
If you’re wondering what materials I use, all my projects are completed with Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop and Illustrator, with a splash of InDesign). Physically, I use my laptop pen on my laptop’s touchscreen for all my projects. Sometimes I use a Wacom Intuos and pen for preliminary sketches and color-blocking.
I first began working on digital art in 2016 by creating vector-imitation graphics for users to use as book covers on the online serial fiction website, Wattpad. When I left Wattpad in late 2018, I began using my skills for more personal projects (my old book blog, Vicky Who Reads) and other bookish projects in the realm of traditional publishing. This ranged from fanart to book box theme cards. In 2019, I switched from using Pixlr Editor to Adobe Photoshop, and began seriously taking commissions and working on illustration.
